Kaguya-sama: Love is War is a Japanese romantic comedy manga series written and illustrated by Aka Akasaka. The anime adaptation of the series was released in 2019 and currently has three seasons.

Aka Akasaka is a Japanese manga artist and writer, most known for his series Kaguya-sama: Love Is War and Oshi no Ko. He was born on August 29, 1988.
His series Kaguya-sama: Love Is War was serialized in Shueisha's Miracle Jump between May 2015 and January 2016, and was then transferred to Weekly Young Jump starting from March 2016. It was the 9th bestselling manga in Japan in 2019, with over 4 million copies sold. In 2020, he won the 65th Shogakukan Manga Award in the general category with the manga. Following the end of Kaguya-sama, Akasaka announced on November 3, 2022, that he would retire from drawing manga to instead focus on writing.
